Many a reader have requested we post a video by Voxtrot, the homoish Austin-based rock popster. And, as you know, we aim to please, so here's a video for their track, "Soft and Warm" off their recent mini album, Mothers, Daughters, Sisters and Wives.
If you like what you hear, check out their website. And, of course, there's always their MySpace page.
What is "homoish"? Does it mean gay, gay-like, gay-friendly ? I'm confused.
By homoish, I think they mean "channeling 'The Smiths' something fierce." Which they do, but if your going to rip off and modernize, might as well do it right! So I love these boys, and love Queerty. This made a wonderful close to the day.
So, judging from Queerty's choices of musical artists lately, if I don't listen to (or care about) any of these alt-rock acts that nobody's ever heard of, then I can't be in the cool kid's club? I guess I'll just have to go back to my corner and listen to my hands-in-the-air faggy disco anthems all by myself...
true dat Spiffy! get with it!
lead singer of Voxtrot is gay FYI
FYI: the lead singer is into the menfolk, and also: the drummer and bassist are in another awesomely fun little indie outfit called BELAIRE, in which one of the really cute twinsie singers is a totally adorable lezbo. HOMOAUSTIN, fer sure.
