Holy Shit! We Agree With Andrew Sullivan
Must Have Been All Those Bong Rips

weed%21.jpg
A sometimes friend of ours just brought up Andrew Sullivan and we thought, "Hmmm, we haven't seen what that old windbag Sully's been up to, we should head on over and check out what's cooking."

You know what's cooking? A big fat doobie. That's right: weed, moocah, dagga, ganja, endo...the list goes on.

Apparently Sullivan's been yakking about the government's war on medical marijuana. Responding to a reader's comments on how the feds aren't really cracking down on the drug but, rather, pleasure. To this, Sullivan jests:

...Pleasure, even harmless pleasure, is evil and must be prevented. Once you allow people to enjoy life, there's no end to the dangers. Unless, of course, pleasure is backed up by vast industries rendering hefty taxes, like tobacco and alcohol. Then it's fine.

For my part, I find the attempt to ban any naturally growing plant to be an attack on reality, and a denial of some of the most basic freedoms. I guess that's why today's GOP is so in favor of it.

Dude! Right on the money, Mr. S. Thanks for bringing a little pleasure to our otherwise miserable lives: we just rolled a fat one with a picture of your face. The best high of our lives...

AMEN! No man, religion, or government institution has a right to tell you what you can and can't put in your own damned body. The absolute truth behind any ban on substances is that they aren't effectively regulated and no direct profit to the government is delivered. Of course, if they DID regulate it, you know they'd fuck it up somehow and make it more cancerous than cigarettes and more addictive than heroin. And anybody with an ounce of common sense knows meth is just bad news. Just LOOK at what it does to people's skin! AGH!

Now pass that bong!

Let's face it..the hypocritical religious right is neither religious nor right...but let's not forget that they hid that they do meth (ala good old Reverand Haggard), lie, cheat, steal and so on..but heaven help the poor soul who uses medical marijuana to ease their pain from cancer and other severe illnesses....according to the morons that run our government....the right of privacy no longer exists and the right to do what we wish with our own bodies (in this case medical marijuana, which actually helps ease suffering) is unacceptable....God, save us from these hypocritical morons!
