Lesbians Stab Homophobe In New York City

foxfire-girl.jpg

A New York man learned this weekend not to spit on people lest you end up with a steak knife in you. A group of seven lesbians were leaving a movie theater in the West Village of New York City when a man approached one of them and complimented her looks. When she told him to fuck off, he allegedly spit on her and threw a cigarette, prompting her and her friends to stab him with a steak knife and beat him to a pulp on the sidewalk.

The man had obviously never seen Foxfire (pictured above) or he would have known better.

1) complimenting someone's looks
2) being insulted in return
3) juvenile spitting in retaliation (for being insulted, not because of orientation)
4) uncalled for stabbing

How do we get homophobe out of that? Don't try to excuse her behavior. All he did was compliment her looks, he did not give homophobic remarks.

Chris says:

You get homophobe because the original article clearly states he made "homophobic" remarks to them. I'm not excusing the women's behavior but you could certainly call a person that makes homophobic remarks and spits on you a "homophobe".

SteveS,

I wasn't there. Were you?

My friend is a reporter on this case. The man (a DVD bootlegger) called them "dykes" and said he was going to "fuck [them] all." Perhaps those choice words have been edited out of some newspapers, but that's what's on the police reports.

Doesn't justify a stabbing, of course. But hardly a "compliment" and arguably a threat.
