Mitt Romney Needs A New Hobby
Preferably One That Doesn't Involve Being Such a Putz

MRomney.jpg
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney gives new meaning to the word 'tenacious'.

As you know, Romney's not one for gay marriage. Sure, he says he's not about discriminating against the gays, but he simply won't stop until Massachusettes bans gay nups once and for all. After the legislature dismissed a petition to revote on the controversial issue, Romney and pals haven taken the case to a state court. They're hoping said court will either force the legislature to vote on the issue or to have Secretary of State William Galvin put the issue on the 2008 ballot.

The Supreme Judicial Court today will hear arguments from a lawyer representing Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney that the legislature illegally refused to consider a proposed amendment to ban same-sex marriage... The arguments were made to a single high court justice - Judith Cowin. Corwin declined to rule, instead forwarding the case the full court.

The move comes after Romney organized a petition calling for politicians to revote on gay marriage. In no mood to rehash the political past, legislatures called a recess until January 2: the last day of the current government. If the judicial measure fails and the legislature doesn't vote on the proposed amendment, gay-nup foes will have to start all over again. And, really, wouldn't that be a shame?

Here are some other words to which we think Romney gives new meaning: douche, bigot, dumb fuck ass wad (okay, that's four) and prick. Definitely prick. Seriously, a governor suing his own state? Prickish beyond belief. Not to mention rude.

Rob Collier says:

Hooray for Mitt Romney,

The notion that whatever we do individually in society is our affair alone is a foolish nonsense. Everything we do collectively or individually impacts on society in one form or another. Like the ripples in a pond when a pebble is plopped into the middle, it's effect is not only immediate and long lasting, but all of the pond and the edges of the land around it eventually feels it's effect. It is so when we lower moral standards - all of society is degraded. If each generation seeks to challenge moral behaviour in favour of sensual barbarism, the downward spiral will ultimately end with the fall of society - this is the lesson of history and the resulting fall of any great nation: - listen to Mitt Romney and leaders who want the best in society.
