Lack of time and an abundance of server problems prevent me from doing a point-by-point rundown and recap of the week's posts and all of the insightful commentary that resulted, but that kind of closure was always more Andrew's style, anyway (fear not, Queerty readers—he'll be back from Argentina tomorrow). A general mea culpa seems more appropriate...
I don't want to get all mushy on you because sincerity doesn't translate well online, but I really have to hand it to you, Queerty: you really know how to keep a queen honest. What's more: you know the meaning of intelligent debate and are quicker to question what you read than toe the time-honred political line when digesting the mass of news this site—and cyberspace's thousands of other news aggregators—throws at you morning after morning.
This alone has been a tremendous source of joy and inspiration to me over the course of the last eight days. The world in which we live today is a world of transition—the Internet, microtechnology, ultra-connectivity and unprecedented access to information are amazing developments that stand to change the face of media, economics and—most promisingly—civil rights. You may think you're just killing time at the office anonymously commenting on a cynical blog—and indeed, in many respects, that's all you are doing; but in the greater scheme of things you're making your voice known, sparking discussion and—hopefully, when all is said and done—discovering that "gay culture" as you once knew it is infinitely more diverse than you could have ever imagined it.
Okay, enough of all that—bring on the links to the free porn already!
