It's Raining Sanjaya!
Idol Gets Down With Drag Queens
American Idol reject Sanjaya Malakar must miss the stage. The teenaged "star" recently made an appearance with some lovely, "It's Raining Men"-singing drag queens, which explains all the screaming girls in the audience.

Before you watch this video, however, we have to warn you - the quality's really shitty, so you may want to fast-forward to the middle, when Sanjaya makes his anti-climactic appearance, soaks in the cheers and then stands awkwardly as the queens flail around him.

Thanks Greateggs!

that just made my day. Hilarious! How awkward he looks up there, like he's saying "i hope nobody sees me." I was hoping the naked boy was going to pick him up and wield him around. That would be funny.

What a TIRED routine, only thing made it worth watching was seeing Sanjaya looking completely lost.

He looked great as usual and seemed to be taking it all as just light fun.

He looks wonderful wherever he is. Just a sweet, fun-loving talented young man. We'll be seeing a lot more of Sanjaya. As Tony Bennett said: Sanjaya dares to be different.

Just shows how accepting, non-judgemental, and innocent Sanjaya is. He saw nothing wrong with being associated with drag queens or how that could be interpreted by others.

If people want to speculate about his sexuality and rant about how he's so desperate for attention that he'd stoop so low to be part of that show . . . it says more about those people's values (or lack thereof), not Sanjaya's.

Sanjaya is learning that it's often the haters who need the most love.

Gimme a break! That wasn't a "drag show". It was a concert sponsored by the largest radio station in Seattle, Kiss 106.1. Lily Allen, Fergie, Katherine McPhee were performing.

Jubal, the radio DJ, like to dress in drag to liven up the show. He's a straight guy. Most of those guys on stage were straight. The event was called Girls Night Out - that's why all the guys were dressed in drag. It was a joke! It was freaking hilarious. And Sanjaya was a great sport. Everyone was having fun.

Geez. You people read way too much into this. Nobody has a sense of humor these days.

Lighten up!!

Statement from DJ Jubal Flagg:

My drag performance at our concert (Girls Night Out) has been blowing up today…

All the gossip sights have featured it (perezhilton.com, dlisted.com, etc.). Access Hollywood has even called me for a comment. Who knew that having Sanjaya on stage with a bunch of guys dressed as girls would get such a huge reaction? I did of course.

Anyway, a lot of people are trying to say that I set Sanjaya up to look like a fool and I didn't. I like that kid; I just knew that it would be funny to have him come on stage with me. In all honesty, Sanjaya and his mom are some of the coolest people I've met in a long time – especially his mom, (I kind of want to be Sanjaya's step dad after meeting her). Anyway, I never fooled him into anything, he was a willing participant and I think that he should get props for that. Especially with all the criticism he has had to endure. It took major balls to be in Sanjaya's position in life and agree to join a bunch of people in drag on stage.

So, basically what I'm trying to say is that Sanjaya has huge balls and I think I love his mom. Got it? Good.
