Hundreds of Sacramento-area students rallied to support four students suspended for wearing anti-gay shirts. One participant said: "It's only going to get worse against Christians. We're going to get persecuted more and more. But those who stand to the end: God is going to save them." Um, right...

They're slim, they're soft, the laces are off-center, and they are a lovely shade of grey. What more can you ask for in a stylish dress shoe? A $200 price tag doesn't hurt. The Shelly shoes from Ted Baker are handmade in London and would look good with pretty much any outfit in any season. Try trading the flip-flops and jeans look that so many gays seem to love for a Shelly and jeans look. It's more sophisticated plus your feet stay clean.

Timberland has revived their 1985 classic "King Spoke" shoe, which is like a sneaker/boat shoe combination with a snappy rainbow design. If only they could have released it a few weeks ago in time for Pride, they would be sold out by now.
We're generally not ones to wear our rainbows on our sleeves, but we might make an exception for these cute sneakers.

The designers at Adidas have officially crossed over into Crazytown, and we love it. These Stan Smith Adidas sneakers come in pink and green editions that sport either Miss Piggy or Kermit the Frog, and they don't short-change you on the details. In addition to the printed Muppet portrait on the side, there is an original Piggy or Kermit autograph beside it, plus fuzzy detailing along the edge, and a transparent portrait on the sole of the shoe. We are turning pink and green in anticipation.

They're not your mom's Vans. Covered in corduroy fabric with a leather toe detail, these cute shoes from California label Trovata are one part indie streetwear and one part fashiony gaywear. The important thing to remember is that they are hard to find, so grab yours before they disappear. And be warned, they come in a really heavy, wood-burned box.

The most glorious feature of Dolce & Gabbana’s sneakers is that while each footwear item will look like the gay cat’s meow whether you’re walking up Madison Avenue or Rodeo Drive, the entire line is also well-designed from a participatory sports point of view.

That isn’t to say that to own a pair of D&G sneakers, you must pay the going price at the Dolce & Gabbana boutique at 825 Madison Avenue. Many on-line retailers offer selections from the current collections at a considerable discount. As of this writing, nextag.com listed seven men’s D&G sneakers for about one-third the typical retail price. Overstock.com had a metallic gold model marked down from $450 to $149. This writer has had satisfactory experiences buying through those sites.
As Isabella Rossellini said: “Wearing Dolce and Gabbana is like listening to a piece of music that evokes memories, emotions, different moods and energies.” To evoke memories, emotions, different moods and energies of your own, besides purchasing D&G sneakers you might watch the clip of the D&G film Dirty Boy.
