Having gone to a primarily lesbian liberal arts college, we had prolonged exposure to lesbian rockers Sleater-Kinney, though it was never really our thing.

Even still, any band that stays together for 11 years and produces a consistently acclaimed body of work not only deserves our respect, but a shout-out on the blog.

So we wish the ladies of Sleater-Kinney, who played their last concert on Aug. 12 in Portland, Oregon, good luck in all their future endeavours, musical and otherwise. Their music will always remind us of the wild, carefree days of our young adulthood.
