I realize it's cool to be irreverent and bitchy, but you guys know she's on her deathbed at the moment right? Tammy Faye has become an unapologetic supporter of gays, just like her son Jay --- whose own Christian church is practically shunned by most ministries b/c he's such an advocate for our community. She's campy and hilarious and sweet, I think she should be applauded for not letting her struggles break her down.

I don't think it's just the openness to teh gayz that causes mainstream churches to shun Jay Bakker's Revolution Church (sensibly located on the web at www.revolutionchurch.com). They have a very radical and iconoclastic approach to Christianity. A sample quote from the Revolution NYC "ideas" page:
