Girls Get Ugly Discussing War

The View girls get all hot and bothered while discussing who does and who doesn't qualify as a terrorist. And guess what?!? Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosie O'Donnell disagree!!! Shocking.

We have to say we feel a bit bad for poor, misguided Elisabeth. Those girls obviously get off on picking the lone conservative...

(Thanks to virtual matter for the heads up!)

Remember yesterday, when we had the pleasure of listening to Colorado leiutenant governor hopeful Janet Rowland compare being gay with bestiality (and polygamy)? Allow us to take a couple steps down from the ladder of moral sanctimony and tune into Abu Oudai, the chief rocket coordinator for the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the West Bank of Israel. Oudai's organization – some might call it a terrorist organization – is not technically affiliated with Hezbollah, but they and other Palestinian terror groups are coming together with the same goal: bring Israel to its knees. And given Hezbollah's arguable success in its rocket attacks against Israel, Oudai says he other groups are only encouraged to continue firing away. And who are they firing away at? An army "full of gay soldiers." Speaking to WorldNetDaily, Oudai says:

If we do (what Hizbullah accomplished), this Israeli army full of gay soldiers and full of corruption and with old-fashioned war methods can be defeated also in Palestine. The best is if it is a war in more than one front, and I believe it is not an impossible scenario.

Are Iraqi insurgents not only stealing our sense of security — but the gay culture as well? Recent reports that suicide bombers and others involved in attacks on American forces aren't just making use of roadside bombs, but of drag. Men dressing as women has long been considered too taboo even for men willing to blow themselves up in the name of Allah, as many Muslims fear the practice would bring innocent women too close to the battle lines. But now it seems to be a growing tactic to avoid suspicion by American soldiers, since it's usually only men who are searched and considered likely suspects. The above MSNBC clip aired this morning.

jerusalem-pride.jpg

Good afternoon, and how are you? We're disgusted, thanks. Why the wretched feelings? Because we've got to hear from religious Jewish zealots – yes, you heard that right, and we're Jewish – that the recent rash of attacks on Israel are the result of gays wishing to celebrate their identity. Prominent rabbis and religious figureheads in Israel publicly condemning efforts to hold WorldPride 2006 in Jerusalem has been going on for weeks and months. But attributing Hezbollah's violence to an absence of God because gays want to celebrate their culture? Did we learn nothing from some religious zealots blaming the gays for 9/11?

"Why does this war break out this week, all of sudden with little warning? Because this is the exact week the Jewish people are trying to decide whether the gay pride parade should take place in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv," Pinchas Winston, a noted author, rabbi and lecturer based in Jerusalem told WND. [...]

Yet many religious leaders believe the Israeli government's decision to allow a world homosexual parade in Jerusalem is having real-life consequences.

"This [parade] is an attack against God himself," Winston said. "God has told the Jewish people, 'If you are not going to fight for my honor, you will be forced to fight for your own honor.'"

Winston points to the clashes that broke out after Hezbollah staged a raid last week in which two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and eight more soldiers were killed. Israel has been retaliating inside Lebanon while the Lebanese terror group has fired hundreds of deadly Katyusha rockets at northern Israeli population centers, killing 18 civilians and wounding hundreds, some seriously.

On a second battlefront, Israel also recently sent ground troops into Gaza following the kidnapping by Hamas of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Hamas and other Gaza-based Palestinian Arab terror groups have launched hundreds of rockets into Jewish communities near Gaza, including Ashkelon, home to Israel's major power stations and strategic oil and gas pipelines.

Lazer Brody, an author and dean of the Breslov Rabbinical College in Ashdod, Israel, concurred with Winston.

"When God’s presence is in the camp, nothing can happen to the Jewish people," Brody stated. "But If the Jewish people bring impurity into the camp of Israel, this chases away God's presence."

Weights

Perhaps the fella with the toned delts and chiseled triceps finishing up another set of Romanian Deadlifts isn't just the hottie you're too neverous to approach — perhaps he's a terrorist. Turns out, more than a few of our unwelcome jihad soldiers had gym memberships. Whether they got locked into a 12-month contract to tone their adductors or network with other terrorists is not, necessarily, a mutually exclusive decision.

The British government recently published its Report of the Official Account of the Bombings in London on 7th July 2005. It reveals that three of the four members of the 7/7 cell seem to have become radicalized in gyms rather than in mosques. Mohammed Sidique Khan, leader of the cell, worked on his protégés in "informal settings," primarily at a local Islamic bookshop where they watched radical DVDs and at local gyms, some of which were based in rooms below mosques. According to the report, "Khan gave talks [at the gyms], and worked out." He set up two gyms, one in 2000 with local government money—which means that government officials unwittingly funded one of the settings for his efforts—and another in 2004. Shehzad Tanweer, the 22-year-old who seems to have been the second-in-command of the 7/7 cell, "got to know [Khan] again (having known him a little as a child) through one of the gyms." Indeed, Tanweer was as much a fitness fanatic as he was a religious one. Shortly after 7/7, one of his former friends told the Guardian: "Shehzad went to a few mosques around here but he was more interested in his jujitsu. I trained with him all the time. He is really fit." Jermaine Lindsay, another of the 7/7 bombers, has also been described as a "fitness fanatic." A report published by the Terrorism Monitor at the end of July 2005 said that he "met his fellow bombers while attending one of the gyms set up by Khan."

We're not saying you need to be wary of the ravishing bloke seated next to you in the sauna, but when you're back at your place and he mentions how much he wants you to explode, it might be wise to think twice.
