451Press blog LezKeepItReal interviewed Christopher Chan on his a unique coming out experience. Chan, you see, did one better than declaring his sexuality to the extended family over Thanksgiving dinner—that kind of stuff is child's play to this generation—no; Chan came out to billions of people on YouTube.

This isn't the first time we've heard of someone coming out via video, but it is the first time we've read a follow-up to someone's video. Chan says after posting the video, his relationship with his mother "improved drastically. Although she doesn’t trust me."

The Casualty of A Virtual War...

turkishflagflies.jpg
Boy, those Turkish do take their history seriously. They've banned YouTube after some Greek jokesters made a video implying Turkey's founding president, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, likes boys. Making fun of Ataturk's strictly forbidden in Turkey. Refusing to rise above, a Turkish citizen suggested that homosexuality started in Greek - a somewhat valid point, actually.

A Turkish spokesperson at the London Embassy said the government has nothing to say about the matter:

The videos included parts which insulted Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, our founding father. There is no explanation from the Turkish government, it was a court verdict. English profanities were placed on top of the Turkish flag and pictures of Ataturk.
Wait, the profanities were in English? Uh-oh...

This story got us to thinking - we wonder if we're banned in Turkey. We have a feeling we probably are...hey, any Turks out there??

Frat boys with homosexual urges is not such a fresh joke anymore, but this skit from MadTV digs a bit deeper. With two great performances by the actors and a clever script, we ended up LOLing more than once.

So you enjoyed yesterday's clip of "weatiez" tearing his shirt off and flexing for the camera? Well there's more where that came from. Seems weatiez is quite eager to share his undeverloped pecs (though how lovely they are) with the likes of you folks. It's half embarrassing. But plenty worth watching, though he's no Jeremy Lory.

If you've spent any time in The Castro – or have paid attention to gay culture for at least 10 minutes &ndash you'll know San Francisco's gay district (that is, the gay district of "the gayest city in America") battles Manhattan's Chelsea (and, shortly, Hell's Kitchen) for the most over the top ubiquitous displays of gay culture. For one new Castro resident, that's just disgusting.
