Dangerous Muse are the homo-electro duo of Mike Furey and Tom Napack and they have both gay boys and straight girls swooning. The fellas took time from rehearsals and prepping their new EP to chat with Bradford Shellhammer about their fans, their photos, and their new record.

The photos on your site are pretty hot. Who shot them and what was the shoot like?
MF: Some of our favorite photos are ones that weren't intended for press -- ones that our friends just took for fun. The black and white ones on our site were shot one night after a bottle of wine. They were captured by Miguel Villalobos and styled by Zaldy (head designer for Gwen Stefani's clothing line, L.A.M.B.).

Describe your music in 10 words or less?
A piece of us we share with you.

Do you ever read blogs?
MF: Not until recently! There is this really great blog that my roommate told me about called The Hype Machine. It's great for finding fresh and really random music.

TN: I'm not really into reading blogs. Sometimes I read PopJustice.com. But I will say that Queerty is pretty fuckin’ solid!

What do you have in the works?
MF: We're in the process of finishing our first album. Over the summer and into early fall, we will be recording many more songs. We plan to have our debut CD release in March 2007. We will be supporting this release with a tour and with promotional and marketing materials domestically and internationally.

Ted Ottaviano produced "The Rejection." Were you fans of Book of Love?
TN: "Boy" is one of our favorite songs. We have really enjoyed working in the studio with Ted.

MF: Ted Ottaviano is a stellar producer and a perfectionist. We love him. Ted produced all the tracks on our next digital release, "Give Me Danger EP," coming in August 2006. This new EP will be a collaboration of our first digital release and three new songs. It will also include a radio edit of one of our favorite remixes of "The Rejection."

You know we love The Straights as we illustrated in yesterday’s So Gay! list. You know whom we love more than straights? Drag queens and transgender folks. And they were everywhere this year. The top five moments in drag and trannies from 2005 is below.

5. Heatherette/Zaldy. Drag chic was all the rage in 2005 thanks to Richie Rich, Traver Raines, and Zaldy. Zaldy, a onetime runway model in drag, helped Gwen Stefani launch the LAMB line at Fashion Week. Heatherette and tranny-muse Amanda Lepore, brought club-kid fashion to the pages of People and the local Nordstrom making it OK to show your inner freak in the Midwest.

4. RuPaul. Thanks to Jonno, RuPaul started blogging way before blogging was cool. This year Ru continued that project but also got her hands in the dirty porn business, directing for Michael Lucas. But it was her doll line that really caught our eye. Finally, a doll for little gay boys! Perfect for teaching Barbie how to walk the runway.

3. Paris is Burning. More than a decade and a half since its theatrical release Jennie Livingston's classic film finally saw the light of day on DVD in 2005. Giving a face to the Harlem ball scene of the 1980s, the film has kept its power intact. Heartbreaking and empowering, it remains a must see for any gay person, fabulous or not.

2. Transamerica. Desperate Housewife Felicity Huffman plays a transsexual and receives a Golden Globe nod. The gays are all hailing Brokeback Mountain as the must-see gay film of the year. However, this little film deserves just as much attention. And Oscar may just take notice.

Our editor Bradford has a published piece in this week's HX Magazine interviewing Gwen Stefani's right-hand man, Zaldy. Once a club kid, runway model(as a woman!), and downtown club fixture, Zaldy has reinvented himself as a force in the fashion industry. He showed his name line on Saturday and L.A.M.B. is closing fashion week on Friday. Zaldy took time to answer a few of our questions.

1. What is your most prized possession?
Well of course all the right answers are health, friends,family, honor, but as far as a real object I would have to say my Victorian wolf ring.

2. Greatest source of inspiration?
The greatest source of inspiration for me is pop culture: I see tons of movies (Ken Russel, Fassbinder, Werner Herzog, Visconte, Ridley Scott, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick), listen to loads of music( Siouxsie Sioux, Bauhaus, Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus, Danielle Dax, Can), and buy tons of books(Renzo Piano, Stanley Kubrick, Guy Bourdin,Weiner Werkstat). I have movies going on in the tv room, books laid out in the studio and music all going at the same time.

3. Greatest album ever recorded?
The greatest album ever recorded is impossible to name!

4. Greatest book ever written?
This is near impossible too! this isn't the greatest book ever written, but I have always loved A Clockwork Orange.

5. Your key to happiness?
What could be more satisfying than working creatively with friends ?
