Quitting CNN Will Not Be the End of Lou Dobbs

Don't think Lou Dobbs's resignation last night, after 30+ years with the network, means the ends of the proud bigot's tenure on television news. He's got other plans.

Claiming "some leaders in media, politics and business" want him to do more with his life than quibble away on a silly little television show, he secured (was handed?) a release from his contract. Which means he's now a free agent. But while Dobbs says "I’m considering a number of options and directions" and the rumor mill suggests he might head into politics, there are rumors Fox News or Fox Business wants him. (The networks deny the claims.)

Then again, he still has his popular radio show to take his fearmongering to. You know, for stuff like this:

Fox should trade Shepard Smith to CNN for Lou Dobbs. Shepard Smith is too good for Fox, and Lou Dobbs would fit in perfectly over there.

Lou Dobbs is definitely headed to FIXED Noise.

Remember, Lou met with Rupert Murdock in September and sailed around Manhattan with him in his yacht for more than four hours.

I'm sure the deal was tentatively struck then.

CNN has a long, storied habit of shipping all of their shit to FIXED Noise. Major Garrett, Greta Scientologist, Bill "Bambi Eyes" Hemmer, and of course, Glenn Beck. Lou Dobbs will just follow the empty candy wrappers straight to his old gang.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Lou.

Lou Dobbs is actually generally supportive of gay rights. I don't think he's genuinely narrow-minded.
