Rachel Maddow Will Not Be Your Next Senator!

Rachel Maddow is good at many things: Digging for non sequitors. Sports. Discussing porn. One thing she’s confident she wouldn’t be any good at? Public office.

On Meet the Press yesterday, Maddow explained: “I have great respect for people who choose to pursue both their ideological gains and what they want for the country by doing that. But I think I’d be horrible at it.”

Colleague Chris Matthews once thought different.

Honestly, I don’t think she’d want to be a Senator, but I’d have full confidence in her if she ever were my Senator. Quite frankly, she’s too bright to not excel at pretty much whatever she attempts, which is probably why she wouldn’t want to attempt to be a public official to begin with. It’s quite frankly a thankless, difficult job where you’re at the whims of a hundred other people, forced to pass mediocre trash that utterly fails to accomplish your key goals in public policy — in the name of incrementalism “progress.”

If she changed her mind and ran for a local, then national office, Mom and I would vote for her for a national office. We love how she shows the hypocrisy and idiocy of the GOP. Rachel recently had a report that 35% of New Jersey conservatives say Prez. Obama is the Anti-Christ. Just proof of the study that said religious people studied had lower IQs. When the real Anti-Christ gets here I hope he gets busy and puts Robertson, Dobson, Phelps and the GOP in urns-then flushes the ashes!
