"Hillary Clinton will take the Democratic nomination even if she does not win the popular vote, but persuades enough superdelegates to vote for her at the convention, her campaign advisers say." [HuffPo]
Hillary Clinton….more concerned about her own political aims and pursuit of victory than she is about the consequences it will likely have for the Democratic party as a whole. Awesome.

This could really backfire on her and cost her the general election. It's especially disingenuous for the Democratic party to pull a stunt like this after crying foul in the 2000 election over the electoral vs. popular vote.

To Jesse: Puh-lease. If the shoe were on the other foot and Obama were in the position of needing to persuade superdelegates (and he still might), he'd be doing the exact same thing.

It's especially disingenuous for HER because she personally made a stink about the electoral college being a problem when Gore won the popular vote but lost the electoral college. If she thought popular vote was the way to go then, why not now?

Poor Hill the bastards keep moving the goal posts on her. I say win any way you can honey this country needs you. It's going to take another Clinton to clean up about this Bush.

Hillary is the Phoenix which rises from the Ashes time and time again despite the corporate media. A true Clinton characteristic we love! We are just waiting for Barack Obama's Howard Dean flame-out as it does take a Clinton to clean up after a Bush! We are HILLARY, hear us ROAR!

Let's hope she fights in the General Election as hard as she is now!

GO HILS!
Jesse: and Obama has no personal political aims?
Uh huh . . .
The average voter will not like the idea that the popular candidate lost because of shadowy decisions behind the curtain.

I supported Hillary until I read this story. I'm not looking to elect "our own version of Dick Cheney."
