Reince Priebus Seals RNC Chairman Spot

Michael Steele ducked out earlier today, giving Wisconsin GOP chief Reince Priebus a much easier ride into the top slot, securing 97 votes; former Michigan GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis nabbed 43 and Mario Cino secured just 28. GOProud’s Christopher Barron was quick with the email blast, congratulating the marriage discrimination advocate: “Today is a good day for conservatives and for the Republican Party. The election of Reince Priebus marks the end of Michael Steele’s disastrous tenure at the RNC. “

It does the Republican party no favors to lose the single high-profile black face it had. But Steele’s credibility never really recovered after that groveling apology to Rush Limbaugh back when.

Pious Priebus will have a lot on his plate:trying to get RNC out of debt, keeping harmony between the TeaPartyists and oldschool Republicans, & dealing w/ the redistricting.

I wonder what Steele will do next? He seems to have lost a lot of credibility & “friends” along the way.

A tell-all “memoir” might just be in his future.

My, how snarky you people can be. Since you know nothing about this man, isn’t judging him for what he is being “prejudiced” on your part? Isn’t prejudice wrong in your eyes? Or is it only wrong when being applied against you?

@ Shorty – We know about him. We know he promised the NOM he would fight marriage equality. That’s not our prejudice. That’s what he said.

Why would feel the need to defend and apologize for people who don’t like you is hard to understand.
