Also joining the board as a member is Kevin Oldis, human-resources VP at CBS. Oldis has volunteered as a HR consultant with the nonprofit for the past 11 years.

“With recent legal victories for LGBT people and public support for our community at an all-time high, GLAAD’s work to highlight the common ground and humanity that all Americans share is critical to continuing this momentum towards equality,” said Fults in a statement. “We could not do this culture-changing work without the dedication of our board of directors, staff, supporters and members across the country.”

GLAAD is coming off a tough year or so: Some 11 employees were laid off in January and, months prior, the organization feltthe blowback from its initial endorsement of a now-cancelled AT&T/T-Mobile merger and the resignation of former director Jarrett Barrios. “It’s no secret that GLAAD experienced some real challenges in 2011,” Thompson told The Advocate last month.

The search is still on for a new permanent president for GLAAD—Mike Thompson currently serves as interim director.

Cupid’s Undie Run is a 1.5-mile jaunt through the streets of Washington, D.C. over Valentine’s Day weekend, in which participants wear little more than red briefs or heart-covered boxers. The event raises money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation and, though we can’t be sure, it seems like this mostly hetero event is taking a cue from our queer playbook.(Click here or here for gayer versions of undie runs.)  Kudos to all who braved the cold for a cause!

In case you missed it, Nicki Minaj’s long-winded performance Sunday at the Grammys was an Exorcist-themed sh*t show. The song itself, “Roman’s Holiday,” probably won’t be a hit, but Nicki’s main goal was to provoke and instigate. Which she did very well.

She even got the predictably out-of-touch Catholic League to wonder, “Is Nicki Minaj Possessed?”

At the weekly Stallion Saturdays bash, Rebel in San Francisco hosted a very special Best Buns contest in hopes of finding several new cheeky stars for its new Mr. Black party, premiering on March 1. At a performance at New York’s Triad Theater last week, Pam made a prank call to the Turkish restaurant downstairs, talked Grindr with a pair of Aussie boys, flirted with some Mexican cabin crew and delivered a bottle of bubbly to choreographer Nick Kenkel and his boyfriend.

Like the defunct airline that inspired her name, Pam Ann is known for her eyecatching style. Part mod fashionista, part drag queen, Pam is the perfect insider to give us a unique take on New York Fashion Week, currently sashaying through Lincoln Center.

We asked for ten tips but, in classic, Pam Ann style, she replied with list of more complaints than a passenger flying economy on Southwest Airlines:

1.    The city is full of anorexic super models. Eat something, you’re hungry!

2.    All the wannabe fashionistas trying too hard to be fabulous.  Too many hexagonal hair cuts and horizontal color blocking stripes.

3.    Valentine’s Day and Fashion Week fall at the same time. Not a great city to be in if you’re fat and single.

4.    Karl Lagerfeld called Adele fat.  Shut the fuck up Karl “Bulimia” Lagerfeld—you used to be a big girl once too!

5.    A little bit of bad taste is like a splash of Nicole Richie.

6.    Bejeweled tears on models. Really?

7.    Anna Wintour could do with being double penetrated. It might put a smile on the witch’s face.

Yep, RuPaul has some music to sell and she’s using this episode to let us know all about Glamazon ($9.99!) and Champion ($6.99!!!).

We barely get to say one last goodbye to Lashauwn Beyond (eliminated last week) before the drama starts:  The Princess is going on about how Jiggly Caliente should have been in the bottom two.

Oh, The Princess, bitching like that just isn’t a good look.

For the mini-challenge, the pit crew carries in a throne with the episode’s special guest, Piyah Martell, a fierce queen with caudal regression syndrome. Translation: she doesn’t let the fact that she was born without legs stop her from delivering “Mariah Carey realness.”

Aww… Google made a cute animated video for Valentine’s Day, which it embedded on its homepage. While the main V-Day story follows two straights united by a love of jump-roping, the end cuts to a bunch of alternative couples (alien/astronaut, princess/frog) and one gay (married?) couple in the middle of the bottom row.

Gloria Estefan stopped by The F Word at Splash on Friday night to premiere her new video, “Hotel Nacional”, her salute to campy cult classics like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cabaret, and Birdcage, infused with a contagious Cuban flavor.

We showed up just before Gloria and hubby Emilio Estefan arrived, but  Tiffany, the queen of the ’80s, was already there and surrounded by cute boys as Cherry Jubilee, Maddelynn and Dina Marie were working the crowd onstage.

We were sipping cocktails with RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Jessica Wild when Gloria arrived: The Miami Sound Machine front woman stopped for photos, signed autographs, and chatted with fans before taking to the stage to say gracias to the LGBT community.  ”I’ve got to thank you so much for so many years of support” Gloria told the crowd, “You guys have been on the cutting edge, all the way back to ‘Conga’ in 1985.  My music broke through in the gay clubs before anyone ever heard it…and I want to thank you for that; for being such loyal, fantastic beautiful people.”

Estefan went on to thank her drag-queen amigas and talk about how much she loved the Broadway version of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.  But she was there to promote her own wild and drag-infused video, “Hotel Nacional,” and the crowd gave her a roar of approval as the video  began to play on Splash’s massive screen.

Out Olympic ice skater Johnny Weir attended alice + olivia’s New York Fashion Week presentation last night, wearing a giant fur coat, a leopard-print-style gold glittery blazer and a totally new hairstyle.

Of the new coif, he told us: “It’s inspired for Cruella DeVille, for a press conference.” That would the press conference announcing his return to ice-skating competition, including attempting to make the 2014 winter Olympics.

He also told reporters that he’s planning a bigger official wedding ceremony with new husband Victor Voronov, whom he married in a small civil ceremony just over a month ago. He joked (or maybe he was serious? one never knows with Johnny Weir) that he wants Lady Gaga to officiate the big event, which is to be pushed back to winter instead of a summer ceremony. If Gaga couldn’t do it, he said he’d settle for Sarah Jessica Parker.

He also said he might do a special skating performance for the wedding. Sounds pretty fab to us!
