Rev. Harry Jackson Gives D.C. 16 Months to Ignore Gay Marriages

Despite all the challenges, Washington D.C. this week began recognizing same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions. What, you thought that was going to stop equality foe Bishop Harry Jackson? LOL, yo! He’s working on grabbing 21,000 signatures to put the measure to a city-wide vote in November 2010, just in time to make Thanksgiving that much more stressful. This guy needs a hobby.

But one of the elections boards of the District said this issue could not be put on the ballot because it violated the DC Human Rights Act. How can Jackson get around that?

How about getting 21,000 votes together to stop the state recognising hetro-marriage?

The election board has asked him to prove he actually lives in DC. His big house is in Maryland.

Um, how about getting 21,000 people together to work on why the schools have the lowest graduation rate and highest drop out rate in the nation outside Mississippi.
