I believe it is God’s plan for people who believe the scriptures that we express our sexuality in heterosexual relationships. I also believe it’s his plan that we worship with other believers and pray regularly. [But] the State has no role in dictating or mandating those types of things.
The State’s role is protect people equally and the religious institution’s role is to teach and encourage obedience to the Scriptures. The difference between Church and State is a significant issue for me.”
