Why not just say: 1. I don't wish to answer personal questions. 2. I am straight. 3. I am bi. 4. I am gay. 5. I am still unsure. I don't think anyone should be outed, but in the same respect if interviewers keep asking him that question and all they're going to get is a vague answer, why bother anymore. It's 2009 and I don't think his career will suffer, since it's not very active anyway. He's probably in a position where he has enough money and doesn't need work. If he is gay is not answering the question because he doesn't want to hurt his female fan base, then he should realize he's not getting any younger and there are always new pop stars those youngsters are going to lust after.
