Thanks for the recognition! I didn’t even know she was a lesbian. So many notable people are passing, leaving our culture a lamer place.

BTW She also wrote some great novels: 3 are NYTimes Best Sellers.In one of them: “Are You Somebody?’ she talks about a 14 yr relationship with a woman.

Nuala O’ Faoilain essentially broke the silence on the issue of terminal illness and death in Ireland a few weeks ago when she went public. Even as she was dying, she was still giving to this country. We’ll all miss her!
