Roseanne Barr’s character in the 1989 cult classic She Devil might as well be a drag queen herself, what with the hideous-chic outfits, the frazzled hair and the mole. That mole!
So is Meryl Streep’s character for that matter, making the film a perfect choice for San Francisco drag queen Peaches Christ’s wonderfully raucous live stage adaptations.
And the comedy potential is not lost on Roseanne herself.
Peaches did the courtesy of inviting Roseanne to the July 9th show, which costars Sharon Needles and Heklina — very ladylike indeed:

@seaguy: I’m still trying to figure out why people think she is funny. The only thing she has ever done that I found funny was when her talk show got cancelled within six weeks. The Neilsen ratings had her not even drawing 5k people in the NYC market. Now you KNOW thats bad considering that the area has 15 million people in it (NYC, NJ, Ct).

Such as accusing Marie Osmond of not being an accepting parent of her gay son when he committed suicide. And it turned out that her son was not even gay, and she didn’t even know Marie or the family. And like Dan Savage, and Andrew Sullivan, lashed out at the Black voters in California, believing the erroneously false number that 70% voted in favor of prop-8, that was later reduced to 58%, but Blacks only make-up 7% of all California voters. She like the other two has never apologize, and admitted she was wrong…
