Rough Passage
 

Despite the state's Defense of Marriage Act, Pennsylvania Senate's Judiciary Committee decided to pass yet another ban on gay marriage and civil unions today. The superfluous measure passed 10-4 and will now head to the Senate. [Philly]

How despicable … that a state would actually enact laws that DENY human rights to it's population.

Except for the bigger cities (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh), the rest of Pennsylvania is as redneck and bigoted as Alabama or Mississippi. I'm not at all surprised by this.

Bob R is right - I'm from South Central PA - which definately lives up to its nickname - "Pennsyltucky".
