RuPaul Re-Upped

We'll see you back here next year — because RuPaul's Drag Race has been picked up for a second season by Logo. Easy decision, we're guessing, given that the show gave the gay network the most buzz it's seen since the launch.

"its scene" = "it's seen"

Unintentionally funny typo FTW.

RuPaul's Drag Race is a *great* reality show that cribs some of the best aspects of AMERICA'S TOP MODEL and applies it to the drag world.

It's funny and camp … but — most amazing to me as I was watching it — has a sweet "heart" at its core. RuPaul dispenses some sage advice to his "drag children" and several episodes made me cry in places.

Yay! Now if only Logo can convince Margaret Cho to do a second season of "The Cho Show" and do it there while keeping "Rick & Steve" funny and creating more good shows, they may actually have a future as a cable network. ;-)

@atdleft: I LOVE Rick & Steve, but a season is what 7 episodes?

@barbarossa: Made me smile! Loca!

Watched the finale last night. It was an extravaganza eleganza! (Been running around the house saying that for days now much to the bf's displeasure).

@atdleft:

LOVE Rick and Steve, it is so damn edgy compared to any other gay programs, movies, etc. Maybe because it's a cartoon!

Now will Ru bring back old contestants a la Tyra to advise the newbies?

MORE NINA!!!

Fierce Bitch, in or out of drag!

Wasn't Noah's Ark the first "buzz" on logo

Loose the soft focus lense, please. I always feel like I'm going blind.

Hopefully VH-1 will show it too. Stupid Comcast doesn't provide Logo in Central Illinois.

I have been following it here in the UK. I'm so glad it's coming back! And don't fuck it up, Logo.

RuPaul is fabulous. And that's not a word I was very often.
But he is.

@BobP

Ha. It's worse than Babs Walters on 20/20. And if they took away the soft focus, we'd see that RuPaul looks pretty effin' old I bet.

Well, we can see that just fine when he's not in drag…

@Jason: Shoulda watched a second episode—Drag Race taught me that, even with a good tuck, queens got the biggest, hangiest balls in the universe…

I loved this show and bought Rup's music and was hoping Bebe would win. My wish was granted.
