RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5 standout, Alaska Thunderfuck, debuted her “Forever Stevie” stage show to a sold out house at Philadelphia’s Voyeur Nightclub Wednesday night. The show makes its New York premiere tonight at The Laurie Beechman Theatre and will play there through Sunday. Alaska and keyboardist, Handsome Jeremy, relive the highs and lows of Stevie Nicks and her love/hate soulmate Lindsay Buckingham from their early years as an airy duo — Buckingham Nicks — on through the time they were snatched up by a guy named Mic Fleetwood and turned into superstar legends. It’s all music to your ears – and to your eyes.
Alaska rocks a smooth Alaska-influenced Stevie flowy, flowery aesthetic that doesn’t so much burn down the house as charm the tambourines off of it! Jeremy’s flawless keyboards (and hair) add a light springy element to the stage and the banter between the two is a landslide of fun.
