Legendary American rocker Iggy Pop canceled an upcoming concert in Sarajevo following violence at the city's first gay festival.
Activists there were forced to retreat last week after a gang of nationalist trouble-makers attacked the festival's opening night, sending ten people to the hospital. Obviously displeased over the upset, Pop says he will not be appearing:
"The concert is canceled," Rajko Bogdanovic, an organiser, told Reuters on telephone. "The main reason lies in negative images that went out of Sarajevo in the past days."

Sarajevo is still on the list of the world high-risk places," said Bogdanovic, the director of the Art Zone agency. He added that ticket sales were also poor.
Yeah, we can't really see Bosnia's nationalists or Muslim activists going for Pop's flamboyance…

It was not "nationalist trouble makers" it was a bunch of fucking bearded nazi muslims. I tracked down most of the online press reports and not one, NOT ONE, mentioned nationalists, but ALL, said it was muslims chanting "Allah Akhbar" and other relgious bollocks at the victims as they kicked the shit out of them.
You morons have got to lose your respect for afflicted sky pixie worshippers, they are all fucked up. And you owe them no respect whatsoever.
Just a correction -
Actually, as reported in some Bosnian media, too few tickets were sold (177 or some such) and the organizers just blamed it on "poor security".
As for the nationalist trouble makers, all major political parties (Serbian, Croat and Bosniak) raised their voices against the gay parade.
Adex, indeed it is true that opposition to the gay pride events was voiced by nationalists of all persuasions, BUT only the bearded nazi thugs of the islamic persuasion went out intending to commit violence against our fellow gays.
