Former Will & Grace star Sean Hayes is engaged to music producer and composer Scott Icenogle.
RumorFix reports that Hayes’s ring finger was sporting a new piece of jewelry when the Emmy winner appeared as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday and on The Talk on Monday. While no mention of the engagement was made on either show, it’s not surprising given the actor’s reluctance to discuss his private life.
Hayes offically came out in 2010, but later apologized to the gay community for not publicly acknowledging his orientation sooner.
The couple, whose engagement was confirmed by Hayes’s rep, celebrated seven years together in May. Congratulations!

Johnny Weir & Victor Voronov
The figure skater (and self-confessed “Russophile”) married the Russian descendant in 2012. They very publicly split in February 2014, then (somewhat) privately reconciled two months later.
Ummmm Yeah
That was sweet until I got to Johnny Weir and immediately wanted to gay bash him.
Alan down in Florida
I hope the two of them continue to be as happy as they have been these past 7 years.
Desert Boy
Mazel Tov, Sean! Many years of shared happiness.
Cam
You left out the part where he didn’t apologize for not acknowledging. He attacked the gay community when he first came out, said that he had done more for gay rights then anybody, etc…
But how nice that he can get married with those new rights that the evil gay community provided to him.
enfilmigult
@Cam: Yep, I’m afraid every time I see him that’s what I hear: him saying that he did so much for gay rights by playing the swishiest character on TV while remaining in the closet. “Monumental” was the word he used for his contribution to the cause, I think. That is hard to get past.
