Sean Penn’s legendary difficulty with paparazzi might be genetic: His 19-year-old son, Hopper, is in hot water for losing his cool and calling an African-American photographer a n***er and a f***ot.
Hopper, the son of Sean and actress Robin Wright, was walking with his Academy-Award winning father when he shoved the shutterbug and spewed a stream of invective. According to TMZ, police came to investigate but the photographer didn’t press charges.
While it doesn’t excuse his behavior, the video on TMZ reveals that the photographer was goading Hopper to some extent before the celebutard shouted “F*** you … you’re a f***ing f***ot … shut up you f***ing n***er.”
Back in 1987, Sean Penn was sentenced to two months in jail for assaulting a photographer—and got probation in 2009 for another paparazzi attack.
At least Hopper seems to be sorry about the whole sordid incident: “I was accosted by paparazzi and made to feel like an animal – threatened and under attack, but that does not condone my own actions,” he told TMZ. “I deeply regret my choice of words.”
