“the attack happened within eyeshot of a nearby Starbucks, which at the time was still open and serving customers “.
Someone saw this happening. This happened right out in public view. That Hopefully, they’ll come forward soon.
Blame Religion. Become an Atheist. Help end bigotry brought on by ancient superstition.
My thoughts go out to Jason Jacobs for a speedy recovery.
Blame women. Women were involved in this homophobic attack. If a woman attacks you physically because you’re a gay man, don’t be afraid to defend yourself. Defend yourself by hitting back if she attacks you first.
Oh great, more anti-religion comments, even though the report says nothing about religion.
Many cities these days are like airports — people come and go, everyones a stranger. Social capital bottoms out, I blame capitalism.
@randallreynolds: Sadly we are still massively outnumbered in the public, shame the world doesn’t run on morality and by the more intelligent or we’d be quids in.
The story is in error. That Starbucks on Olive Way – known locally as “Gaybucks” – is open till 11:00. The attack happened just after midnight …so it wasn’t Starbucks patrons that witnessed the crime. That area of Cap Hill is very densely-populated, and it’s likely that pedestrians may have seen what happened.
He lied about his injuries. Only a broken nose. He was only out of the bar for 5 minutes when he was attacked and found. Yet no one saw anything the witness only saw a drunk guy with a bloody nose. He has made 3 other claims of gay discrimination or bashing in the past 3 months. He also has gotten black eyes and facial injuries from 3 other drunken falls…one he claimed to be a bashing. He is always drunk and at the center of attention. He is a bad example of a gay man. sadly a negative impact on the gay community.
