Queerty is better as a member
This is the same idiot who thought that it was a good idea to have the second movie take place overseas, to have all of the characters written so two dimensional that they barely resembled people, and to have Carrie be SO attracted to her ex boyfriend that she would risk her new marriage even though she dumped the guy because he was boring and she wasn’t interested in him before.
The script for 2 was so bad that there shouldn’t be a 3 unless this guy has nothing to do with it.
The last one was so awful. So awfully timed. It was an insult to women, it was an insult to sons of women. It was a bitch slap.
The plot was: Carrie’s feeling are hurt because she didn’t like her anniversary present.
Seriously left that movie hating each of them, and my husband for suggesting we go to a movie.
I love the HBO series as a comedy, but Michael Patrick King’s announcement is only a few steps away from a James Bond villain like terrorist threat to the free world.
The first one was bad, the second was even worse, I just can’t imagine what horrors the third one has in store for former fans of the series.
@robirob: I a lot of people actually enjoyed it.
Although it was NOTHING like the tv series, which got progressively worse with each season.
I also thought they said that they filmed movie 2 and 3 on the same year.
Fitz and Robirob, hilarious!
as long as they learned from #2, I can’t wait…I watch the second film as if it were 4 OK episodes….
Oh dear god, let it die already! #2 and Mamma Mia were the only 2 movies I’ve ever walked out of. My husband loved them both. If he wants to start an argument, all he has to do is mention one of these movies…..
@katbox80: Even the creators of Sex and the City claimed that New York City was one of the leading stars of the show the same way fans of Armistand Maupin’s Tales of the City series consider the city San Francisco an integral character of the book series. The second SATC movie took place in the Middle East and I was pissed. I didn’t mind when the TV show had some special episodes where the gals went to L.A. or had some vacation trips here and there, but the decision to have a SATC movie to take place somewhere else than New York for at least 2/3 of the film’s lengh was imho wrong, wrong, wrong even when the scenery was beautiful at times. It felt overall gimmicky.
sorry, Armistad Maupin
Is there such a thing as a “Kickstopper” campaign?
Answered Prayers? It is said that God answers all prayers, and in this case the answer should be NO!
“One chapter left”? Is he seriously suggesting that the last movie was a story that had to be told… or checks that had to be cashed?
If there isn’t a “Kickstopper”, then someone should just start a petition.
Ok, the comments on this thread are hilarious!
Third “SNTC” movie or the first “Golden Girls?”
@AlexL: You are so right! Instead of Abudabi, the next movie needs to be set in a condo on Florida… then they can go back to TV with a new series.
I hope they do make another movie…. I miss the girls and the boys….
Trilogy of Terror
@dougmc92: OMG, I am so embarrassed for spelling the name wrong, twice! Thank you for correcting me.
@JFSebastian: Trilogy of Terror I can totally get behind. Too bad Karen Black is no longer with us. Maybe Jessica Lange would be game.
…Movies are a wasteland now. By all means–if there is no food, let them eat cake.
