I don’t understand the complaint. Texas is creepy, backwards, and run by the evangelicals educated and controlled by extreme right Christian madrassas. The same is true for almost all the states that formed the Confederate States of America, even Florida. I think Texas probably runs a close second to Iran or Saudi Arabia for number of executions and violence against gay people.
All of Texas, except of course Travis County, in which lies the great City of Austin, which some of us lovingly call East Berkeley.
