I find it a disgusting that people question her contributions to this community. She gave this community visibility in a time when no one else would align themselves with us and, as a result, gave self-esteem to MANY a homo that felt worthless and hated. There is NO price you can put on that. There is a reason gay marriage in California is even being talked about today. I'm not saying she's the main reason, but she was a part of our history and certainly helped us get where we are today. I don't even care if you think she did it all for money, have some fucking respect. If you don't like her music, don't buy the record and don't go to the concert. Simple as that. Anything else makes you sound like an idiot. Madonna is quite charitable. She just happens to give to a charity that doesn't affect you. Funny how self-centered you all are. Seriously….shameful.
