@DarkZephyr: Not cool, but not untruthful. Let’s be frank: it’s really old that so many on here say there is no way to “act gay”, but as soon as a straight dude is in touch with his femininity or gives a slight fuck about his appearance, he’s gay or “suspect.” It’s “obvious” in that there was never any indication that he wasn’t gay. Much like most YouTubers who come out of the closet… only a few are a real surprise.
Stereotypes should never be the basis by which we judge any group of people… but they exist for a reason, and I say that as a black gay atheist asshole.

You are exactly right Xzamilio – leave it to the gay community to assume someone acting feminine as gay. You know, sterotyping people like we’ve been stereotyped all our lives.
You’ve all had your coming out moments. If he wanted his ‘dramatic’ YouTube moment, he could of done it year or so ago. He’s already huge on vine.
Plus if you actually watched the video, it even said if you wanted to stereotype him, you already knew.

Plus, I’m sorta glad he posted this video. I’m gay and I’m married to a wonderful man and my friends and family accept me.
Alx made me realize I’ve never said I love you to my dad or showed affection towards my sisters…like at all.
Now, my reason for that isn’t necessarily his reason, but it is similar.
@Blazipitous: I think it’s great that well known people post their ‘coming out’ videos. When I was struggling to come out I remember going to YouTube and typing coming out and I got a bunch of videos and I watched a few of the big YouTubers, because if they could do it. I could do it. They have a lot more eyes staring at them than I do. Just imagine how many people would still be in the closet if it wasn’t for videos like this.

I have never heard of Alx James before this article. How long has he been on youtube? What does he do? He is described as a youtube personality, but all of us have “personality” so what’s the big deal? I’m not sure why he or any of these youtubers matter? Can’t any one of us turn a camera on and yammer on for minutes at a time? So many of these youtubers don’t have anything to say and it just comes off as being desperate for attention.
