In eighth grade, prom hero Constance McMillen came out to her family as bisexual. In the past year, she affirmed she was full-on lesbian. Oh, and so is her mother. What?

Speaking to Michelangelo Signorile, Constance certainly doesn’t bury the lead. Not only has her father been wholly supportive, of his daughter and her quest to merely go to prom with her girlfriend, but Constance also says: like mother, like daughter. And it was Constance’s mom’s gay friends who encouraged her to go to the ACLU.
