Conservative radio host, wanna-be presidential candidate and distinguished douche bag Michael Savage‘s at it again. Last time we heard from him, Savage (pictured) called homosexuality a “dance with death”. Not surprisingly, then, he’s got some less-than-loving words on gay parents:

The last post is just so full of hatred and major logical fallacies I scarcely know where to begin, but here goes: First of all, I feel the need to clarify that I am gay-friendly but not gay myself. As an ultra-liberal Jew with a lesbian sister and many gay and black friends, I have witnessed first hand for far too long the seething, psychotic hatred of far too many conservatives who feel that they and they alone have a monopoly on all that is holy, righteous and pure, and the above post is obviously no exception.
Being pro-gay is NOT the same thing as being “anti-heterosexualâ€. This is a common tactic used by Neocons similar to the claim that being pro-feminist is anti-male and is just used to shore up support among the hard right. Mr. “StraightandProud†goes on claims gays and lesbians are “forcing†their sexuality on children which constitutes “child abuseâ€. Look at the statistics: Most child molestation is perpetuated by straight men. Are YOU hiding something? Your claims of mental illness on the part of the GLBT community smacks much of “methinks thou dost protest too muchâ€.
And sorry dude, you can’t have it both ways. You can’t claim gay people are “all about sex†and still want to participate in the institution of marriage. And furthermore, since most conservatives love to proclaim marriage as “sacredâ€, you really need to read some more books. Throughout most of history, women were chattel and second-class citizens and men married largely based on the dowries the women’s families brought to the table and women had no rights on any level whatsoever. Sacred? Hardly. And the majority of Americans once supported the institution of slavery. Did THAT make it moral or right simply since the majority once supported it?
