Somebody That We Used To Know: Gotye Says Trans Rumor A “Hoax”
Gotye, whose song “Somebody That I Used to Know” was just about to finally leave our head, claims rumors he’s transgender are a “hoax”
The Belgian-Australian singer (real name: Wouter “Wally” De Backer) told E! that there was gossip he, like Against Me lead singer Laura Jane Grace, would begin living as a woman. Talking about another rumor that he had died, De Backer said, “Apparently there’s been a sex-change hoax as well.”
Opting not to outright deny the rumor, he replied, “Maybe it’s fun keeping it open.”
Frasco-Yeah and in today’s world of talentless youtube celebrities/musicians who want instant fame, Gotye does not have actual talent at all.

Sorry all… I’m happy they are successful… but that song just reminds me of a potential Peter Gabriel “B” side… but then again “Call me maybe” became also a huge hit… (I start humming “ga ga oh la la roma ro ma ma out outloud whenever I unfortunately am exposed/subjected to that commercial pollution when in a store or restaurant… to avoid permanent brain damage)… Maybe the “Old Guard” artists need to get back composing / recording real music to snap the young so-called hipster generation out of their commercial iPod crap lul… Just my humble opinion… Love all and peace.

Errr Gotye is 32 and released his first album nearly 10 years ago. Do you know how old you’re sounding? :)

Gotye’s music sucks. It would not be surprising if he started this rumor about himself just to pique interest in his band’s music and boost sales.
