It's more colorful than than a GLAAD report, more enlightened than a Newsweek article, but not half as amusing as a That's Gay segment. Still, Mediaweek's new Gay TV web series is a pretty excellent refresher for gay characters and plotlines on the booby tooby.
Host Alan Frutkin, a gay, plays the role of GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios, deciding which of these clips — Family Guy, Modern Family, Bored to Death — are offensive and stereotypical, and which are offensive and stereotypical but also awesome and hysterical.
Cute how the logo and green screen-ed background of That's Gay is, uh, the gayest stereotype of all.

Waste of time, and money – just like GLAAD.
Interesting analysis, if rather superficial at times. Dismissing it as a waste of time and money and comparing it to GLAAD seems like a kneejerk reaction from someone who isn't really paying attention.
Wow. He takes gay television and makes it boring as hell. I think I'll pass.
Queerty, I believe you meant "…not half as amusing…"
Where's all the masculine gays..or do they scare the fags too much???…
What a fruit…
I appreciate the collage of gay clips, but I don't need this guy lecturing me on gay history, condescending because some characters aren't ready to flounce in front of their neighbors, or lecturing me on what I should think of gay television.
This guy is dry toast – and his condescending lectures are very annoying.
Hmmm, GayTV commenting on gays on television. Well, I'm gay so I guess this might be interesting. WRONG!
Talk about "Bored To Death"!
Condescending to gays; useless as education to straights. What was the point of these videos?
Oh, and to GLADD and Alan Frutkin, Stewie/Family Guy is brilliant!
That you don't get satire and innuendo, that you don't see how Stewie/Family Guy/Seth Macfarlane make monkeys out of wingnut bigots of all types, just demonstrates your lack of broad mindedness.
