Spanish Fag Rag Going Global?
N. American Company Looking To Latin America?

Zero magazine recently celebrated their 100th issue. Quite the milestone for Spain's premiere gay publication. Aside from a special metallic commemorative cover, the glossy may have some other tricks up their sleeve:

Zero editor Miguel Ángel López also says that Grupo Zero Communications is considering a purchase bid from an unnamed North American organization who is ready to pay "various millions of Euros."

Even more interesting: The unnamed organization says that it intends to buy Zero as a way to enter into the "international scene" with plans of launching a Latin American version of the magazine as well as open it up to "audiovisual media".

PlanetOut may be one of the biggest gay publishing companies in America, but we don't think they've got the dough to expand their breadth. Our guess: Logo, which runs AfterElton, AfterEllen, NewNowNext and other gay websites.
