St. Louis May Get Its First Openly Gay Alderman
 
 

cohn"Shane Cohn won his Democratic primary last night to represent Ward 25 on the St. Louis, Missouri Board of Aldermen. Cohn faces one independent opponent in the April 7th general election and could become the first openly gay alderman in the city’s history. Yeah, unless a guy has uni-brow, eyebrow shaping looks really bad. Most women can't pull off eyebrow shaping without looking bizarre either.

Congratulations Shane!

It's nice to see the conditional used here, but let's be frank: the Democratic Party has one hell of a stranglehold on politics in the city of St. Louis. With that "D" next to his name on the ballot, Cohn is *going* to win. The only way his opponent has a snowball's chance is if Cohn were a puppy-kicking drug-dealing church-bombing terrorist star of snuff rape films – and even then it'd be close.
