“Shane Cohn won his Democratic primary last night to represent Ward 25 on the St. Louis, Missouri Board of Aldermen. Cohn faces one independent opponent in the April 7th general election and could become the first openly gay alderman in the city’s history. Cohn, 28, faced three opponents in the Democratic primary but won 46.25% of the vote to advance to the general election.” [Gay Politics]
Yay, St. Louis!
he’s cute too! but needs someone new to shape those eyebrows. Go St. Louis
@benwa:
Yeah, unless a guy has uni-brow, eyebrow shaping looks really bad. Most women can’t pull off eyebrow shaping without looking bizarre either.
Congratulations Shane!
It’s nice to see the conditional used here, but let’s be frank: the Democratic Party has one hell of a stranglehold on politics in the city of St. Louis. With that “D” next to his name on the ballot, Cohn is *going* to win. The only way his opponent has a snowball’s chance is if Cohn were a puppy-kicking drug-dealing church-bombing terrorist star of snuff rape films – and even then it’d be close.
I thought he was running upopposed? The only challenge was the primary, right?
More Morning Goods guys should look like this!
benwa – so right about the brows, scary. otherwise, great news, congratulations.
