Sticks, Stones…

“A person that supports homosexual marriages is a person who has no value for the traditional family and can’t be counted on to support it. This candidate has rejected God’s absolute moral standards, and is disobedient to divine law for political and financial gain. If they can’t obey divine law, will they obey civil law?” So writes Minnesota resident Don Werner on how he judges political candidates. [Albert Lea Tribune]

To such so-called Christians who resist gay marriage where it is already legal, I say:

“Be subject to EVERY human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether to a king as supreme or to governors as those he commissions to punish wrongdoers and praise those who do good.”

It works just as well in support of gay marriage as it does in support of capital punishment. So booty.
