Stop Mistaking Margaret Cho’s Rainbow Dress For a Giant Gay Flag

Margaret Cho’s Dancing With The Stars partner Louis Van Amstel — who were both kicked out of the competition last week — insists her red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple dress was not a gay flag, as the judges remarked. “Bruno said, ‘Oh, I love the gay flag as a dress,’” says Van Amstel. “That was not a gay flag! That was the rainbow colors to say, ‘Let’s celebrate each others differences and lets all live under this rainbow.’ That was my message.” To be fair, Cho did say she wore the dress to “celebrate pride.”

America hates the colorful and beautiful. To win these mainstream shows-American Idol, DWTS, etc.-you need to give them what they want: dull, mundane, slices of white bread.

      Hence, why Adam lost AI.

Louis, who are you kidding? Margaret said it herself: that dance was the gayest thing that’s ever happened.

What he describes is exactly what the gay flag is. Silly old queen.
