A U.K. man has plead guilty to raping a straight man in his sleep, though he doesn’t actually remember doing it because he was too drunk.
23-year-old Edward Jupp testified in an Exeter Crown Court this week that he has absolutely “no idea” how he ended up in bed with the sleeping heterosexual couple last May.

According to court records, Jupp and the couple had been at a “booze-fueled party” when they returned to the couple’s house and promptly passed out.
How about we take this to the next level?

The man and woman fell asleep in their bed alone. Halfway through the night, however, the man was awaked by what prosecutor Pushpanjali Gohil said felt like someone “playing with his penis
and balls.”
He turned over. Moments later, he felt someone “touching his balls again” again before all of a sudden there was a sharp “pain in his bottom.” Too drunk to really realize what was happening, the man just laid there until the pain subsided. When he awoke hours later, his butt was still sore.

That’s when put two and two together and realized he had been sexually assaulted by Jupp in his sleep.
Jupp’s lawyer said his client was so drunk that he “cannot recall any sexual activity,” though he believes “something happened, exactly what, he will never know.”
Gohil told the court her client is not gay and was “mortified mortified by what has happened,” adding he felt “extremely embarrassed” and that the incident has had a “devastating impact on his life,” resulting in him suffering from PTSD and needing to take medication.
Rather than fight it out in court, Jupp pleaded guilty to assault by penetration.
The judge, Recorder Ignatius Hughes QC, sentenced him to nine months in jail, followed by two years probation, and ordered he be placed on the Sex Offenders’ register for 10 years.

Why is this on Queerty? This is a story about rape, not about same-sex love. THERE’S A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Chris-Tyler Young
We’re talking about a publication which usually leads the charge in gay hunting (attempting or demanding that “closeted” celebrities come out) and thinks and D list gay celebrity is worth writing a full spread.
Were you REALLY expecting some journalistic discretion? The fact that one guy is gay is enough for them to write about it.
Michael J. Murphy
Rape is rape it doesn’t matter who is the rapist or the victim.
Daniel Salmeron
The question is part does it play if the rapist was drunk too. I certainly don’t think it excuse him but then what if any factor should it play
Alan Zimmerman
Daniel Salmeron none at all. If a drunk gets in a car a kills someone they are still accountable for their actions
Tony Tobias
Lovely Jubley. Lucky man.
Alan Zimmerman
Let’s be honest there are some in the gay community that get off on rape. There are even porn movies made depicting it. It’s sick and sad. I don’t care what you do but rape isn’t ok even as a fantasy.
Rocky Powell
well said…..
David Thompson
I’m not sure I believe this story.
Bryan Allan Baker
This whole story makes no sense ! Felt a pain and just laid there… Really ? He was sober enough to feel the pain, yet didn’t feel anything like thrusting ??? Come on
Sidney DaviesWinter
Rape is rape. Maybe he was to scared to move. Maybe he was so shocked and confused that he didn’t move.
Jon Mackey
Maybe he’s just a really deep sleeper
Sebastian Holiday
Nonsense.
Neil Strangwick
Crap!

How presumptuous of the court to just assume Jupp did it. How do we know that his wife didn’t just want to fist him out of anger for whatever reason.
Moral of this story is: Don’t get so drunk that you don’t know what the heck happened.
Really stupid…
Dave084
@Bryan Allan Baker: yeah something strikes me as a little hinky here. He felt someone playing with his dick and balls but didn’t know he was having one shoved up his nether region. I could be drunk off my butt and I think I’d know if someone was plowing me. Especially if I was straight and had never taken one before.
Grant Pigeon
This is s stupid story and I don’t believe it.
Stached1
Yeah like this really happened.
Benet Leigh
I don’t believe this. Nobody is named Jupp.
Sidney DaviesWinter
To those calling bullshit, no wonder people don’t come out about being raped. Shame on all of you.
Amaurys Arias
None of This guys are telling the full truth.

@Jimmy Radosta:

Justin Weeks
That’s the most bull story ever if you don’t say stop then it’s not rape
Jon Mackey
That’s sad that you think like that .
Greg Diercks
Wrong! If you didn’t consent it is rape!
Greg Morse
There are more holes in this story than were in the bed that night.
Gary Hecklinger
Bullshit.. Trust me he would have woke up lol OMG
Peter Anastopulos
Maybe phantom limb ?
Captain Obvious
This again?

Why does this article link to multiple rape stories?
GC1985
@Sidney DaviesWinter: BINGO!
The fools on here who are rape shaming are just as bad as republicans who talk about forced rape.

I’m sure some fools on here would agree with this statement “Rape is kinda like the weather. If it’s inevitable, relax and enjoy it.”

You gay republican rape lovers make me sick!
Invert
@Alan Zimmerman: policing fantasies kind of makes you the Thought Police.

@DCguy: To victimize straight men.
Marky
Rape is obviously a horrible thing and he deserves what’s coming to him for doing it.
The links to all of the articles mentioning “straight men” raped by “gay man”… are you trying to say something? Say it if you are, your gay male readers will love you.
If “straight man rapes woman” or even “bisexual man commits crime” were ACTUALLY reported in that manner, I probably wouldn’t feel slightly perturbed by this, but considering the in depth articles concerning B and T issues, the pretty much sexual-only content regarding gay men, and the almost total erasure of lesbians from the map… It’s pretty obvious guys. You’re just forcing people over to the other side of the issue that we’re not going to talk about. Be fair. You want other people to be fair? You can be fair too. We already get it from the straight people, we DON’T need it from YOU. I really want to be sympathetic, I really do. You’re just making it difficult.
