Several colleges have been clucking about booting Chick-fil-A off campus because of its support of anti-gay groups, but it looks like North Carolina’s Elon University is putting its money where its waffle fries used to go.
The school’s student government voted 35 to 11 in favor of a resolution asking the chicken chain to leave. But it’s unclear what the next step is: According to a school spokesman, the final decision rests with university administrators and the school president.
Two other North Carolina schools—Duke University and Davidson College—have already given Chick-fil-A the boot after president Dan Cathy said over the summer his company was “guilty as charged” when it came to working to defeat marriage equality. Since then, Chick-fil-A and Cathy seem to be sending mixed signals about the company’s commitment to staying out of the marriage fight.

There is no scientific evidence to prove any of the cross related bogus elements of christianity and other religions. Our early human ancestors; on this earth … go back more than 6 million years … 5,996,000 years before the Greeks, Romans and the Jews. Christianity is basically a 2012 year old fictional cult.

I am disappointed in people. Especially people like Macdonaldbank. First, Chick-Fil-A never said it was anti-gay. You show me ONE PIECE of evidence. It was the CEO who is anti-gay. So go picket his house and leave the corporation alone. They will happily serve gay people. I have tested this out myself. I walked up to one of the servers and said “I’m gay, does that mean I can’t eat here?” They said “If you’re a paying customer, you are just like everyone else. What would you like?” That was very respectfully said. No, I’m not gay, but to them, it didn’t matter. Second, you say there is no scientific evidence? There’s non-Christian literature from the time that says Jesus was hung on the cross. There is graffiti that shows Jesus hanging on the cross. Just because nobody found the cross doesn’t mean there’s no evidence. As far as kids being bullied into suicide because they are gay being the church’s fault, that’s the stupidest argument against religion I ever heard. Seriously. There are non-religious kids bullying gay kids all the time. They even bully the Christian straight kids. So your argument is not only null and void, but it’s just plain ignorant. You just hate religion because it goes against your human desires. You want to do what you want, when you want and you don’t want to have to answer for it. I’m sorry to say, society doesn’t accept that. It has nothing to do with religion. You’re just using it as a scapegoat for your inability to do wrong. You need to stop blaming people for your own shortcomings. You sit there and tell people that people need to be tolerant of gays and lesbians, then turn around and tell them to be intolerant of Christians. It’s a self defeating argument there, don’t you think?
