Superdelegate A Guppy

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are nearly neck-and-neck in their race for the Democratic nomination. If the numbers don't start to change soon, the party's superdelegates may decide the nominee like some illogical political dues ex machina. There are 796 superdelegates, including Jason Rae: the youngest superdelegate in the nation. He's 21-years old. And he has nearly as much power as a state. That's fucking crazy.[Gay Politics]

Not really. Hillary might have a possible slight lead in superdelegates who maybe kind of lean towards her … but unless Hillary (or Obama) really surges (or tanks) in the next couple months then the superdelegates won't be deciding the nominee either. At least, not on the first vote.

After that? No one really knows what happens.

Up until now Obama has almost all of the caucuses; that's a decided indication that besides having the most delegates he has the most committed group- caucusing has a lot to do with dedication. He got 3 states Sat and another today-Mass., I think which Hillary thought she would pull. He got most of the votes in fact. I think that she was really underestimating the power of the Kennedy support. She even fired the person running her program, she was so pissed. Obama has more money as well-just lots of people.

He will certainly be the first closest thing we've had to a popular candidate since JFK.

The most horrible thing happened to makes me want to lose my stomach: Huckabee got Kansas for the Reps. I'm supprized they let him run: with all his White Supremacist crap.
Those Kansas Rednceks reaklly have been out in the sun tooo much…

I wonder why it's fucking crazy? I don't know Jason Rae or much about him, but it seems to be implied that it's crazy to give someone so young so much authority.

This makes no sense to me. Age has little to do with a persons ability to make decisions, or discern based on their values and the necessity of their position. I know many people in middle life who are far less adequately equipped to make important decisions about their own life than many young men in my social group.

Don't presume that youth means irresponsibility or inadequacy.

While it's true that Americans overall perform at a much lower level of intellectual function than people in other developed countrie,( i. e. People can't comprehend long sentences in reading. They don't read much, or understand complicated ideas or decision making.), that tendancy more likely seems to extend to the older & middle aged people who spend thier time mowing lawns and engaged in childish activities. Many younger people arent so settled into the status qu that they can they can think ousiude of the box and concieve of new answers for the vast problems tha we have.

M Shane: Your own sentences starting falling apart. Were you suddenly distracted by your X box (which might indicate your youth) or were you having a stroke (which might indicate the opposite)?

Please understand that Jason Rae was, in fact, ELECTED to the Democratic National Committee by American voters within the State of Wisconsin. Please also be reminded that he was voted to that position at the tender age of 17. Here is a young man not old enough to vote, even for himself, who campaigned and won because he actually cared. He deserves ANY power bestowed upon him because he actually got involved in the process. Until you are willing to step to the plate, I think you're the one that's "fucking crazy".

Thanks Ross; I sure hope that there are lots more young people like him. The older generation really handed everybody his age a lit grenade, with all ther B.S about something betterand Fox media. . .! It will take a lot of Ross' to undo the devasatation they're being handed.

I just read that 50,00 species go extinct a year now!

Jason Rae is 21 years now, I have listened to him engaging with a Jounalist interbiewer. My rating of him performing is Excellent.

it shoed me that he is a young lad with a Big brain for the Political Process and besides, he is a good listener.

good luck to you Jason, i am sure deep dopwn you will make a good descision on who to cast your vote for come the need in August Democratic Convention 2008. I hope other Super Delegates follow in the good step of a young lad JR.
