  TWICE AS NICE

Surprise! Senator Rubén Díaz Says NY Marriage Equality Is Inevitable… Twice!

“I am amazed at how quickly I have been misquoted in the press regarding the issue of gay marriage. The press took one phrase from my comment and as a result it has appeared in this morning’s newspapers completely out of context. For the sake of accuracy, this is what I said:

“Because the Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo is making the Republicans do what the Democrats could not do when they were in the majority, the Republicans are bending to the Democratic Governor and gay marriage is inevitable in the State of New York.”

- New York Senator Ruben Diaz Sr. just letting everyone know that he thinks “gay marriage is inevitable in the State of New York.”

So he corrected himself by saying the exact same thing again? Shows you what kind of intelligence level these people are working on.

It would be delightful if Diaz would vote for it himself. Maybe his granddaughter could talk him into it.

      Diaz…

“It depends upon what “is” is….”
reference: Bill Clinton ala Monica Lewinsky.

I think Diaz was forced to suck his brothers off when he was younger and is taking everything out on gay people because of it.

@ewe: Hmmmm…maybe if he was given a “reach around” at Jesus Camp when he was an angry little bottom he would have grown up to have been a nicer person.

      …or not.

      ;)

@EdWoody: It’s still better than “Yes, I said it, but if you quote me you’re lying,” or however Newt Gingrich phrased it.

Even if Diaz reversed his position and voted yes, the republicans would still not let it come for a vote, using the “language in the bill” issue as cover. They are the masters of the filibuster.
