Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he the first pres. candidate we've had with a special LGBT issues website? I honestly think his only reason for speaking his "man + woman" line about marriage is for political purposes. Frankly, I'm surprised that he was so bold in discussing his pro-choice stance at the last debate + think that if more of America (including many Dems) were more open to the idea of gay marriage, he'd openly support it. Such is not the case, yet, but I think electing a president like Obama will bring significant progress. I don't believe that he'll throw us under the bus, so to speak, given his stance on civil rights in general. I’m much more than lukewarm.
