The commentator then provides this run down: …A person of color has run for the White House in every presidential election over the last 24 years: Jesse Jackson in 1984 and 1988. Gov. Douglas Wilder of Virginia in 1992. Former ambassador and conservative activist Alan Keyes of Maryland in 1996 and 2000. Former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun of Illinois and the Rev. Al Sharpton of New York in 2004. Ridley's argument reminded us of something - there is another black man in this race: Keyes, who must be feeling pretty low right now. Because, you know, if Powell endorsed Obama because he's black, Keyes got the shaft. (Also, don't forget Cynthia McKinney, the black Congresswoman who's currently running on the Green Party ticket.) |

» Rhetorical?
Headline from Alan Keyes' web project, Renew America: "How right is your conservative commentator?" |
» Bouncing.
Anti-gay presidential candidate Alan Keyes ditched the Republican Party and may sign up with the Constitution Party. Neither side, however, seems sure the romance will take off. Said Keyes: They're considering me, I'm considering them. We have so much in common that I find it hard to believe we won't be able to work out a common basis for working together." It's really a perfect match, because neither Keyes nor the CP has a chance in hell of winning the presidency. [USA Today |

"Pretty Face" Will Bring Sodomy, Abortion Massacre
Anyway, here's Swank's fire-and-brimstone-laden take on the Senator from Illinois: Obama's pretty face is going to get America into a lot of trouble. He's smooth and liberal. He's young and liberal. He's clever and liberal. "Womb babies"? That's a new one. |

Presidential Candidate Gives New Meaning To "Tenacious"
We've underlined some of our favorite parts: In terms of civil rights discrimination, it is wrong to treat sexual orientation like race, for race is a condition beyond the individual's control. Sexual orientation, however, involves behavior, especially in response to passion. Keyes is, to our knowledge, the only presidential candidate to include a specific section criticizing the queers. And, no, he does not mention the fact that he disowned his lesbian daughter. He does, however, invoke her name to highlight his "family man" attributes. One has to admire, Keyes, though: he's been a failed politician for nearly twenty years now and he just won't quit. He simply doesn't realize that the United States thinks he's a fucking clown. Or maybe he likes it that way. |

The Ins-And-Outs Of The Right Wing
Here's a sample from the entry on the newest Republican candidate, Alan Keyes: A perennial political candidate and former State Department employee, Keyes announced his candidacy in mid-September. It has all the markings of a moral crusade, with gays and lesbians in the crosshairs. "Abandon God with respect to the family, and we have no claims to rights," he announced at the Values Voter Debate, during a discussion of same-sex marriage. Keyes could take a lesson from San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders, who reversed his anti-gay stance after his daughter came out. |

Remember when High Point Church refused to hold homo Cecil Sinclair's funeral? Well, Selwyn Duke, who writes for Alan Keyes' Renew America, had this to say: …You'll have to forgive my lack of benevolence toward the bereaved, but just how dull are these people? Even if you're a confirmed secularist, shouldn't you at least suspect that a Christian church just might have a problem with overt displays of homosexuality? God, those gays are just so stupid! How dare they think a "Christian" organization, which pledges to spread its love to all of "God's creatures", would even consider extending the same respect to a butt fucker! Must be all the AIDS destroying their brains. |

As part of their never-ending battle to right the "wrong" of same-sex marriage in the bay state, the nut jobs are accusing liberal (eeks!) lawmakers of hijacking the government and ignoring voters. J. Matt Barber, however, doesn't think alleged democratic irresponsibility's frightening enough to scare conservatives straight. So, what's a "concerned citizen" to do? Make a monster out of gay marriage. Literally. |
