Amy Winehouse is back!

The more tragic (and British) version of Britney Spears has had an exciting past few days, including a bad move with London police and a trip to rehab, kinda.

People are calling it rehab, but she's expected to be released within the week, so that doesn't make much sense.

Some may compare Candie Payne's sound to that of Sixties-inspired Amy Winehouse and Duffy, but where those gals produce an "updated" experience, Payne offers the real deal. Or, at least, a deal sentimental enough to come across as vintage.

On an unrelated note, the singer looks like a cross between Barbara Streisand and Lauren Bush, which is queerly alluring.

Anyway, check out the "unofficial" video for "I Wish" and "One More Chance," above and below the jump, respectively.

Amy Winehouse got a bit nasty with a fan at a concert this weekend. We don't know what the concert goer said or did, but Winehouse lashed out and punched them in the face. Because, you know, that's what fans are for…

» Punchy.

Perpetually troubled singer Amy Winehouse was arreted Friday for assaulting two men early Wednesday morning. The alleged assaults occurred over the course of two separate scuffles: one inside a bar, where Winehouse reportedly punched a man in the stomach; the second attack came later, when the singer allegedly head-butted a man who tried to grab her cab. The latter, we think, is understandable. [NYDN]

The Zutons' "Remember Me" runs the fine line between irritatingly cheery and intoxicatingly poppy. We're leaning toward the latter, but that could change at any moment.

Meanwhile, their 2006 single, "Valerie" remains one of our favorites - when it's sung by Amy Winehouse via Mark Ronson. We've included both versions after the jump.

Like Amy Winehouse without the drug problems, Welsh singer Duffy gives old school soul a new spin with her second album, Rockferry. We've included the titular track after the jump. Before you hit that shit, check out "Mercy" above.

» Britney On Amy, Beyonce, Herself?

Speaking of choice words, the stunningly loopy Britney Spears allegedly had some strong opinions on Grammy participants Beyonce and Amy Winehouse. Of Beyonce, Spears said, "Too bad she can’t dance as good as Tina — who’s old enough to be her grandmother!" The bipolar singer went on to describe Winehouse as "stoned": "She is so obviously stoned." And Spear so obviously forgot about her VMA performance, where she staggered through a disaster of her own making. [Mollygood]

Recently rehabbed singer Amy Winehouse has been hanging out with American artist Blake Wood.

No doubt Winehouse's jailed husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, won't be happy to hear of this development, especially since Wood and Winehouse have been sharing a hotel room. Winehouse dismisses salacious gossip, however, by insisting Wood likes wood:

"Shes said it's fine so share a hotel room because he is gay. But he doesn't seem gay to me I think he's bisexual. Amy's husband wouldn't be happy if he saw how close they are," the Sun quoted a pal of hers as saying.

Wood had on Facebook described himself as being bisexual, but since he seems to be having a better influence over her than her jailed hubby Fielder-Civil…

Almost anything's better than an alleged thug and drug addict, right?

» Winehouse's Big Grammy Win

She may currently be in rehab, but that didn't stop singer Amy Winehouse from performing her #1 hit during last night's Grammy Awards, where she nabbed five golden gramophones. The troubled star certainly looked swell - no doubt a combination of detox and unknown pounds of cake make-up. Our favorite part of her via satellite performance? When she accepted her "record of the year" award and said, "To my Blake, incarcerated". How deliciously junky! [MSNBC]

Start The Death Watch...

Amy Winehouse has thrown discretion out the window - or in her crack pipe. The Sun just published footage of the train wreck talent snorting coke and ecstacy before riding the train to crack town.
The tormented singing sensation took hit after hit of the deadly drug after a 19-minute binge in which she snorted powdered ecstasy and cocaine.

And she admitted she had just popped six Valium pills to “bring myself down”.

Amy’s spiral of self-destruction was revealed in a harrowing video filmed at her East London home and seen by The Sun.

It will horrify relatives and friends who fear she could soon end up dead.

Girl, she may be dead already.
