"Straight Cap" Screws Gay Softball Team

There's some major drama going down in the world of gay softball!

Top team D2, which hails from San Francisco, found itself disqualified from the Gay World Series after a "review" found that six of their players were straight, a violation of officials rules stating a gay team can only have two straight members.

The team's furious, of course, and plan on appealing the disqualification.

Japan Calls Gay Porn Ball Player Home
Has Kazuhito Tadano Been Forgiven?

Quite the queer turnaround for Japanese player Kazuhito Tadano. Just five years after booting baseball player Tadano for his gay porn past, Japan's baseball powers that be called him back from the States to play for a home team, the Nippon Ham Fighters.

Tadano was a star pitcher at Rikkyo University and was expected to be a welcome addition to the Japanese leagues in 2002 when it was discovered that the athlete had appeared in a gay porn film while attending college.

He was banned from the Japanese leagues and came to play in America where the Indians drafted him as a free agent.

Tadano's man-on-man action eventually came to light, spurring the jock to declare his heterosexuality and released this explanation:

I did participate in a video and I regret it very much. It was a one-time incident that showed bad judgment and will never be repeated. I was young, playing baseball, and going to college and my teammates and I needed money.

Hello Kitty offered a similar story.

Gotham Knights Charge Into History
Miss End Goal

NYC's mostly homo rugby team broke new athletic ground last month when they made the finals at the Met New York Rugby Football Union. The first gay team to complete such a feat, Gotham Knights beat the pants off a team called Old Maroon, but failed to do the same against Montclair's line-up. The final score came in at a depressing 41-3.

Despite the tragic loss, the team's poised to break more boundaries. Says team president Alex Fallis:

We will play South Buffalo in April in the Territorial Playoffs, the first round of the USA Rugby playoffs. This will be the first time a predominantly gay team in the U.S. has advanced to the Territorial Playoffs.

Fallis and his phallus-loving team will first host November 9th's East Coast Rugby Invitational, a gay gathering on Randall's Island. We're cheering for the pink team…
