Bill Clinton could give hot head John McCain a run for his money!

» Under Her Nose.

Hillary Clinton was in the White House when former President Bill Clinton started his affair with Monica Lewinsky, according to recently released archives. Oh, and a cursory examination shows less prominent role in Clinton administration than rhetoric suggests. [Guardian]

Hillary Clinton sure was contrite yesterday! The Senator from New York apologized at least three times with regard to her campaign's often contentious take on race in America. It's always nice to hear politicians apology - it does happen so rarely! - but we can't help but wonder why Clinton's made such a push.

By now you either know or have predicted this, but for those of you have didn't or haven't: Barack Obama swept through the Mississippi primary yesterday.

Connecticut state Representative Jason Bartlett made history last week when he came out as a homo.

The 41-year old explained to our editor this week that while he didn't necessarily keep his sexuality a secret, he wasn't so sure how it would fit into his political aspirations: "I considered at the time, 'Well, if you're gay, that means you can't do anything political, this might limit you in terms of career.'"

Bartlett also fills us in on his home life, adopting his children, why he doubts Barack Obama's candidacy, loves Hillary Clinton and how his mother taught him everything he knows.

Read the very revealing conversation, after the jump…

» Who's On First?

Did Bill Clinton forget who's running? "So Hillary says, in 2005, the United States Congress adopted the Bush-Cheney energy bill, which gave $27 billion in subsidies to nuclear, oil, and gas and coal… If you elect me, I'll repeal those subsidies." Clinton says he was speaking as his wife… [ABC]

Hillary Clinton has long been a gay ally. Who could forget how the former First Lady invited gays into the White House, tried to set up gay administration staffers and marched in New York City's gay pride parade? No wonder so many gay people are throwing their vote behind the Senator from New York.

What would possess a gay person, then, to vote for Barack Obama, a fairly unknown candidate from Illinois? Our editor recently sat down with three of Obama's key gay campaigners to figure out what makes them tick and tock for Obama's presidential clock.

Read all about them - and so much more - after the jump.

» Gay Battle At DC Church

There's an unholy war of words in DC, where a conservative Christian group verbally attacked a Methodist Church that recognizes gay unions. Institute on Religion and Democracy leader Mark Tooley had this to say about the Foundry United Methodist Church: "If they're not violating the letter, they're certainly violating the spirit of United Methodist standards. Ceremonies that celebrate homosexual unions shall not be conducted by our ministers and shall not be conducted in our churches." Bill and Hillary Clinton attended the church while Bill ran the White House. [Washington Post]

» Former Clintonite DNC Chair To Endorse Obama

Barack Obama will reportedly pick up a key endorsement this afternoon: "The man who served as national manager of former President Clinton's 1992 campaign plans to endorse Sen. Barack Obama, an aide to Obama said Wednesday. Obama's campaign planned a 1 p.m. conference call Wednesday to announce the endorsement by David Wilhelm, who later became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, according to an aide who spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement would be made public later in the day." » Hallmark's Moment

With regard to our previous post about how we agree with President Bush about Bill Clinton not being a racist, we'd also like to direct you to Frank Rich's most recent rumination in which he addresses Hillary Clinton's Hallmark channel-sponsored Town Hall "event". We'll skip the race-baiting, however logical, and highlight a more humorous quote: "…I’m glad I watched every minute, right up until Mrs. Clinton was abruptly cut off in midsentence so Hallmark could resume its previously scheduled programming (a movie promising “A Season for Miracles,” aptly enough)…" [NY Times]

We agree with President Bush, but not with his grammar: "And you know, these accusations that Bill Clinton is a racist I think is just wrong. I just don't agree with it." Bush also took some time this weekend to reassure Republicans that leading presidential contender John McCain is, in fact, a true conservative. [NY Times]

Over the weekend we introduced you to pink professor Kwame Anthony Appiah.

Click here to read part one of Appiah's exchange with our editor. Today's conclusion picks up where Saturday's installment left off.

In today's piece Appiah offers some more tips on how to be a cosmopolitan, chats about gay marriage, why Obama's a better candidate than Clinton and tells us why he doesn't give two hoots about the Anglican's ongoing gay debate.

Conservatives Perverted Law, Says Former President

Don't Ask, Don't Tell remains a stain on America's liberal democracy.

The discriminatory policy, however, was never meant to be used for nefarious purposes, says Bill Clinton. The former president delved into the pressing matter while campaigning for his wife, saying: "[Gay soldiers] would be free to live their lives; as long as they didn't go marching in gay rights parades or go to gay bars in uniform… In uniform… and talk about it on duty, they would be all right." It wasn't until after Secretary of State Colin Powell left office that anti-gay forces began using the policy to repress homo soldiers.

Resurrected GOP icon and gay porn star Matt Sanchez may have lost his mind. Jeremy Hooper had an email exchange with him and it's pretty nonsensical. Sanchez seems to think "horndog" is a gay term of endearment. Because being horny's a good thing or because we all talk like overgrown boys?
